Established in 1984, Four Seasons Food is a vibrant company that has grown from a small family run business to become a major operator in the processing and marketing of fresh vegetable in the Pacific Northwest. Located in South Vancouver, Four Seasons Food is committed to processing safe, wholesome, quality value-added produce.


Originally, Four Seasons Food was one of many small fresh food-processing plants servicing sole proprietor “mom and pop” type restaurants in Greater Vancouver. Many of the original companies no longer exist but Four Seasons Food has expanded is market to include the State of Washington to the South, Vancouver Island to the West and as far as Winnipeg, Manitoba in the East.


Four Seasons Food’s philosophy is quite simple: offer its customers freshness, consistency, quality and value. It was this philosophy as well as Four Seasons Food’s attention to detail that attracted the interest of Vancouver’s major food distribution company, Konings Wholesale. In 1987, these two companies formed a strategic alliance.


With the structural integration into Konings Wholesale food distribution network (since acquired by Houston based food distribution giant SYSCO® Corporation), Four Seasons Food can offer high quality value-added fresh cut produce to its customers.


Using the “just in time” inventory system, Four Seasons Food delivers their fine fresh cut vegetables within days of initial harvest from the South. Customers place their orders and they receive their complete orders within twenty-four hours. Strong bonds with produce shippers means they expect and receive only the best vegetable available.


The management team of Four Seasons Food believes that the company’s success is based on old style economic values. With a sound knowledge and respect for the business, management guides the expansion through top service and investment in quality staff and technology.


The company invests in state of the art equipment to improve quality and efficiencies in processing. Four Seasons Food’s largest investment is in it’s employees. Despite the need for the best machinery, Four Seasons Food will always depend on the judgment and skill of the employees to maintain the high quality of the products. Employees, trained in food safety and quality, ensure only quality fresh vegetable come off the processing line.


Four Seasons Food is also concerned for the environment. Everything is recycled. We send vegetable waste to a bio-recovery company for compost production. Where many companies use their chemical laced water once and flush into the drainage system, Four Seasons Food is able to minimize water usage by recycling.
